Hi, I'm ALEX CAVES.
Founder and Operator of Caves Creative
Founder and Executive Producer of Boise Design Week.
If I had to sum up my mission in life in one sentence, it is this.
"To strive for SIGNIFICANCE in all aspects of life."
I have followed a path less traveled and continually seek to live a truly unique life.
I was born in Shizuoka, Japan, moved to the USA when I was 7, grew up in Eugene, Oregon, and now living in beautiful Boise, Idaho.

There are two things that define who I am. My love of Travel, and my love of Design.
—Experiencing the world through immersion and Creating inspiring things thats never existed before.
My love of Travel has taken me to over 20 Countries so far, my first major trip being a ride across the USA on a bicycle. (Video Below)
And my love of Design has allowed me to acquire many skills and develop universal principles that allow me to bridge the gap between idea and execution, no matter the project type.

North Carolina 2 San Diego 2012
In 2012 I rode a bicycle across the USA on an epic 70 day 3,558 mile trip from the Atlantic shores of Nags Head, North Carolina to the Pacific shores of San Diego, California. (Maroon Route)I recorded the journey on the GoPro Hero 2. This was before smartphones. 😂
Unfortunately Bike & Build stopped operating in 2023.
